Greenstick technology offers a brand new solution for a wide range of applications that require mooring in water.  The Greenstick is a helical pile or suction pile with a patented* lockable and unlockable joint, allowing vertical deployment at sea, in depth, and the ability to configure to a support angle of 45 degrees +/-, as required, once the Greenstick has been secured to the sea or ocean floor.  No other deployment system offers this capability, making Greenstick technology unique.   The Greenstick is versatile; it can be used as a simple mooring device, as a less invasive way of securing and supporting offshore structures such as wind or wave turbines or to ease dredging processes by the incorporation of a Greenstick Wall.  The lightweight nature of the Greenstick and walls, coupled with the ease of deployment and removal, make it ideal for use in disaster zones where speedy solutions are required to provide temporary power or to reclaim land in difficult and unexpected circumstances. • Greensticks have the possibility to make the strongest offshore structures ever seen, in normal ocean/sea floor conditions. • Greenstick piles and support arms can be made to have neutral buoyancy in water, making heavy lifting at sea much safer, and with much smaller support vessels. Greenstick piles could be floated in multiples and towed to the site location, so heavy lift vessels are not required. • Greenstick piles may be used in conjunction with other existing technologies (for instance suction piles) but with much reduced weight and support services. • Greenstick piles have the potential to save money and offer a safe, less invasive and, since they are not driven, a quieter installation.  Greensticks are environmentally friendly and their ability to be removed render them unique offshore.
