Creation of safe swimming areas

A line of Greensticks with a permeable membrane stretched between them would create a safe swimming haven, offering protection from both large marauding aquatic animals and also smaller threats, such as jellyfish. Easily erected, the Greenstick wall could just as easily be dismantled out of season.

Creation of surf waves (artificial reef)

A row of strategically placed Greensticks could be used to generate waves, the size of which could be determined by the angle at which the Greenstick array is set, as shown in the image below. The surf conditions could be modified to suit beginners to those more advanced.
